Timeless Teachings in a Changing World
Muhammad University of Islam serves students from kindergarten through grade twelve.
The aim of Muhammad University of Islam is to provide an education rooted in the wisdom and knowledge of God to produce future rulers and leaders of a whole new world of peace. The prerequisite knowledge that every student needs is the knowledge of Self and God. Students at MUI are taught that they are gods, "children of the Most High God." They learn in an environment conducive to their nature and their need for discipline and structure.
Each day begins with community prayer. Students quickly move to the most important class of the day Islamic Studies (devotional). Shortly after, students attend their academic studies of science, mathematics, language arts, history, Spanish and much more.

Fall 2020

Muhammad University of Islam has decided that the safest choice for our school is to remain in a virtual-only learning model for the first semester and for the foreseeable future. This plan will be reassessed and will change only if state and local health officials determine conditions allow for students and staff to return safely beginning in the second semester.

Lower School

At MUI DC, we nurture a child’s natural curiosity and love for learning while providing a rigorous curriculum with engaging activities to stimulate critical thinking and develop practical life skills. We believe that children have an innate desire to learn about the world around them thus we provide hands on and meaningful learning experiences. We understand that children learn by asking questions and figuring out the answer through trial and error. It is important that we quench their thirst for knowledge and unlock their interests and passions which will propel their progress. We provide a strong foundation for their matriculation to upper grades.
Our course list includes the following:
Islamic Studies
Literacy
Math
Science
Social Studies
Spanish
Womanhood/Manhood Training
Art
How does online classes work?
It begins with the parent/adult accepting the responsibility as the academic coach. The parent as the academic coach plays a vital role in supporting and guiding their child’s education. We recognize a child’s need to use their five senses while learning thus we mail all necessary materials at the beginning of the school year.
Online Classes for students Pre-K/K
We will use an asynchronous learning approach. Students will have the freedom to move through lessons at their own pace during a time of the day that best fit their schedule. Parents will log on to the learning portal to find videos, and daily lesson plans.
Live classes will be as follows:
Daily- Devotions, Read Aloud & Drill
Wednesday— Islamic Studies
Thursday — Literacy, Math, Science

Progress Tracking : At the beginning of each semester, families along with the teacher will develop metrics for their child’s personal progress throughout the year. During parent-teacher conferences we will discuss the child’s progress towards these goals.

Online Classes for Students 1st-5th
Students will follow a daily schedule online with live classes with their teacher.
